Accurate Pattern specializes in patterns, plugs, fixtures, and gauges. We create our tools, fixtures, gauges and prototypes using wood, metal and plastic patterns.
Accurate Pattern combines traditional wood, metal, and plastic working skills with the latest technology to produce solutions for our customers. We serve most key industries, including automotive, aerospace and composites.
Our engineering team handles our products on both sides of the product life cycle through our shop from inception, creation, & design all the way through final inspection.
Our CAD design services use your specifications, starting with data or a sketch, to design a CAD file. We use the latest SolidWorks software for molding or forming, adding draft, runout and radii.
We design CAD files which engineer fixtures and gauges to your specifications, and may offer suggestions based on our knowledge of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T).
We are experienced in designing the following types of fixtures and gauges: CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) setup fixtures and gages, In-Process fixtures and gages, Final Check fixtures and gages, Quality Control fixtures and gages, Secondary Operations fixtures and gages, Inspection fixtures and gages, True position gages, Assembly fixtures, Test gages, and Profile gauges.
We often use a CAD file designed by the customer to create CAM tool paths for machining. We can translate your .step, .igs and .x_t files into Solidworks format for our use. We also provide file translations, plots and graphic printouts using our CAD Services.
Accurate Pattern provides CNC machining services. We have a variety of 3 and 5 axis machines and are familiar with a wide range of materials.
We offer precision machining of Patterns for Fiberglass Fabrication, Carbon fiber Molding, Vacuum Forming, Engineering Models, Visual Models, Investment Casting Dies, Vacuum Tooling, Prototype and short run Production parts, Fixtures and Gauges.
CMM Inspection & Certification
We have two Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) systems to assure precision and meet your quality certification requirements. Our Wenzel Xcite DCC CMM provides accurate 3D measurements with its granite construction, Renishaw probing and Polyworks. We can verify directly with CAD data, with accuracies better than 2 microns. Our Romer Absolute Arm CMM is a portable measuring arm CMM that allows us to measure on the machine or shop floor. It features simplicity of operation with reliable 3D measurements from hard probing as well as laser scanning. It utilizes PolyWorks software and has accuracies up to +/- .002”.
Reverse Engineering is made easy with our digitizing service. We digitize existing shapes to CAD format for redesign and reproduction. This enables rapid design changes, scaling or mirror imaging. Both of our CMM’s produce certification reports and plots. We also provide 3rd Party Inspection for further certification when required.

It features simplicity of operation with reliable 3D measurements from hard touch probing as well as laser scanning and laser digitizing. Envelope is 4 meters. It utilizes PolyWorks software and has accuracies up to +/- .002”.
